Governing Board

Our District’s Governing Board consists of five elected community members who work to help us deliver outstanding educational opportunities to our students. They help our administrators set effective district policies, hire and retain quality staff, and encourage parent involvement.

Board Meeting Information

Our Governing Board Meetings are open to the public and are held:

  • Time: 6:00 p.m.
  • When:  the second Thursday of every month*
  • Where: the District Library at 131 S. Main Street

*Changes in the planned calendar may occur due to holidays or scheduling conflicts.

Agendas for the meetings are posted on the right side of this page when they become available. Regular meetings are announced at least 24 hours in advance by the posting of agendas at the following sites:

  • District Office
  • Pima Post Office

As necessary, scheduled meetings may be cancelled or rescheduled by agreement of a majority of the Board.  In the event of a change in regular meeting time or place, a notice shall be posted 24 hours in advance.

Special meetings or work-study sessions may be called as necessary.  Public notices shall be posted at least 24 hours prior to such meetings.  In the case of an actual emergency, notice shall be given as is appropriate to the circumstances.

Each month, the Board will confirm the date, time and place of meeting(s) for the following month.
